NutriFEEDO bite™ LNS SQ paste is a nutritional fortified food used for complementing the diet of infants and young children with essential nutrients. This product cannot be used as a replacement of breast milk.

Method of Intake

Handwashing is recommended before use. Knead the sachet prior to opening, open sachet at the tear notch at the side or top of the sachet, squeeze out the NutriFEEDO bite™ LNS SQ paste and feed the child directly from the sachet/ or pour it in the child’s prepared meal, mix it well and feed the child. Provide clean water to the child as needed. Feeding must always be supervised by a caregiver.

Dose Recommendation

Generally, 1 sachet (20 g) of NutriFEEDO bite™ per day per child is recommended for children aged 6 months and older or children at risk of wasting and/or suffering from other forms of malnutrition (e.g., stunting or micronutrient deficiencies). Consultation with a health-worker is recommended for assessing child’s development needs.

RUTF (Ready-to-Use Therapeutic Food) is designed for the treatment of Severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM) in children aged 6 to 59 months with severe wasting without medical complications and with appetite, or as advised by a qualified physician. LNS-SQ provides a smaller quantity of nutrients for daily supplementation, while RUTF provides a higher concentration of nutrients for rapid recovery from SAM.
